Chinese New Year Party (4 March 2015)

It’s time for the annual Chinese New Year celebration!

Celebrating the Year of Goat, Precision Control kicked off the Chinese New Year festivities with lion dance and firecrackers. Donned in red and purple outfits, all staff then took a group photo with the lion dance troupe to commemorate the celebrations. After Mr. Yong and Mr. Poi presented their opening speeches, the fun continues with a cooking competition among the staffs. Participants channeled their inner Gordon Ramsay and cooked up a feast fit for a king. Having been presented with delicious and aptly-named Chinese New Year dishes, all judges gave not just one, but two thumbs up.

Mr. Yong and Mr. Poi also helped boost the festive mood by showcasing their talents in Chinese calligraphy. As no Chinese New Year celebration would be complete without the prosperity toss, all staffs joined in tossing the yee sang as they make as many auspicious wishes as possible.

After a hearty lunch, the staffs were treated to a wonderful performance from Mr. Chai. The Sports Club committee members also joined forces in a group performance, belting their hearts out on popular Chinese New Year tunes.

As the celebrations came to an end, the prizes for the cooking competition were given out. The top three dishes received hampers worth RM300 in total. All in all, it was a fun-filled event to celebrate and usher in the Chinese New Year.

Happy Chinese New Year!
